Thought I'd share some photos from the two day Beatles tribute at Proud Larry's. All the bands were awesome, but my favorite rendition of the evening was "Carry That Weight" done by Pithecanfunkus Erectus. I also discovered another great Oxford band, The Sleepwalkers. Check them out if you get a chance. Enjoy -D
Welcome to tune in tuesday, where every Tuesday....Yeah right. Like I will remember to do a post every Tuesday....puhlease.
Anyways, I thought I'd share some albums I highly, highly recommend you to check out.
First up is:
The Avett Brothers - Emotionalism
These guys were at Double Decker, and boy was I glad I stuck around for their show!
Nextly is:
Alexi Murdoch - Time Without Consequence
If you are a fan of Nick Drake, you will most surely love this guy.
Last but mos definitely not least is:
TV on the Rado - The iTunes Live Version (<--- killer album!)
I can't seem to get enough of these albums right now. Great albums for plugging in the headphones and cranking up the volume.
What's your favorite album right now? What is that must have song you can't stop humming?
Stay clean...
-D
I had the best fortune to get a press ticket to the inauguration today! I had such a blast but boy was it freeezing. I got to see many dignitaries and many famous folk as well. The best part was I was there to see Obama take the Oath of office and from a pretty good seat!
Another great wedding with another great couple!
Sorry its been a while. I've been enjoying the last week off of work! I got to do a fun engagement session with Kimberly and Jonathan a few weeks ago in Oxford. The weather was perfect, just before it got cold.
Man am I behind on my posting. Its been a very INSANE month for the fam. Tons of family weddings and tons of traveling. I'm off again next week to Charlotte, NC. I love the traveling but it can definitely weight heavily on the body at times.
These guys are awesome! This is definitely one of my all time favorite weddings. I mean really, how cool must Kelly be if Tate is out skating the morning of their wedding! The whole day was lovely and they all had a blast. The day started out with a Bridal breakfast at The Ravine, then catching up with the guys at Oxford's own skate park. The girls got ready at The Colonel's Quarters which is the same place the reception was held. And the ceremony was in the very newly finished St John's Catholic Church near campus.
I'm a photographer living in Oxford, MS.
